Every software package contains a full set of examples suitable for that version and are installed with the software. If you see examples here that are not in your installation you should consider updating to a later version of the software. These examples can be used by beginners and advanced users for product evaluation, teaching purposes, and self-training.

Required Modules

Victory Process

  • Core Simulator

The example demonstrates various ways of using masks in Victory Process:

1. Specifymaskpoly – This statement provides the capability to define a mask and an electrode for the internal mask set of Victory Process within the input deck.

– With one SPECIFYMASKPOLY statement, you specify one polygon. This polygon can either be used to create a new mask layer or can be appended to a pre-existing mask layer using the ADD flag.

– Using the CIRCLE, ELLIPSE, or RINGSEGMENT parameters, you can define a polygonal approximation of a circle, an ellipse, or a ring segment.

2. Apply Boolean operation to created masks: You can also do boolean operations with existing mask layers using SPECIFYMASKPOLY statement using AND, OR, SUBTRACT or XOR parameters. Only one boolean operation can be used within a single SPECIFYMASKPOLY statement.

3. Import .GDS file in Init: The example uses “layout ” parameter in “INIT ” statement to import a .gds layout file. The example also sets a “MAPFILE ” which specifies the name of the layer-map file that is used to translate numeric mask names of the GDSII file into names that are easier to understand. The translated names are assigned to the masks in the internal mask set of Victory Process.

The example visualizes the .lay file and .gds file in Victory Visual showing the final layout generated along with final structures.
