Every software package contains a full set of examples suitable for that version and are installed with the software. This example generates several essential FoM(Figure Of Merit) to characterise the performance of InAlGaAs APD device. This example is en extention of Photodiode Example 12. It shows the following FoM:
a) Measure an Avalanche Ionization Probability in Geiger Mode
b) PDP (Photon Detection Probability or Efficiency) as a measure of how much photons are generated.
c) ENF (Excess Noise Factor)
d) DCR (Dark Count Rate): How much e-h pairs are generated wihtout the light
