Every software package contains a full set of examples suitable for that version and are installed with the software. If you see examples here that are not in your installation you should consider updating to a later version of the software. These examples can be used by beginners and advanced users for product evaluation, teaching purposes, and self-training.

Victory Device
- 2D Simulator
This example uses multiple extract statements to show how they can be re-used as variables. By default 2D simulations have a thickness (constant cross section into the page) of 1um (hence current is typically A/um). The width (x dimension) multiplied by 1um gives the area of the device. This shows how to calculate the area using EXTRACT then multiplies it up to give an area of 1 cm2 so current is then given in A/cm2. Calculation can be simplified, long version shown for clarity. The example also uses EXTRACT to find the dimensions of the device.
