Every software package contains a full set of examples suitable for that version and are installed with the software. If you see examples here that are not in your installation you should consider updating to a later version of the software. These examples can be used by beginners and advanced users for product evaluation, teaching purposes, and self-training.

Slicing through regions to cut them into multiple segments is a very useful to enable the localization of refinement or electrical models in Victory Device for example.
At a simple level, a lateral or vertical line can be defined across the simulation domain to slice up regions. However, in many instances structures contain complex geometry and as such are not suited to such a simple approach.
In this example a simple non-planar, two material stack is formed in Victory Process. Victory Mesh is then launched and an external file (.smp) file is called that contains a list of x,z data points that form the edges of the shape to be sliced out of the Victory Process output. The shape from this file is then converted to a solid before the output from Victory Process is loaded in. The slice shape is then applied to the Victory Process output.
The individual regions could subsequently be tagged (TAG) to enable localization of refinement or models.
