Every software package contains a full set of examples suitable for that version and are installed with the software. If you see examples here that are not in your installation you should consider updating to a later version of the software. These examples can be used by beginners and advanced users for product evaluation, teaching purposes, and self-training.

This example demonstrates cross-talk in AMOLED pixel. The device consists of three OLEDs separated by PDL. The cross-talk current flows through HIL/HTL which are shared by the OLEDs. In this simulation, the structure and the models are simplified and modified in order to emphasize the cross-talk current.

First, the 3D structure model is made by using Victory Process. The structure is half along the y-direction and it is mirrored by Victory Mesh later. DEPOSITs for organic material are split into multiple parts to make meshes along layers. Note that Anode electrodes and EMLs are separated but they do not have any labels or material names to be identified here.

By Victory Mesh, the structure model is completed. After remeshing, the structure is mirrored in y-direction and becomes full. TAG statement can give the label to specified regions. In this example, it is utilized to give material names to EMLs, EML1-3, and to define Anode electrodes, Anode1-3.

Victory Device loads the structure file from Victory Mesh, and the physical models are set. The important point is that series resistances are added to Anode2 and Anode3 but not to anode1 in CONTACT statements. In actual AMOLED circuit, a driving TFT is connected to each OLED. In this simulation, we approximate off-state TFTs as high-resistance and on-state TFT as no-resistance. That is to say, on-state OLED1, off-state OLED2 and OLED3 are assumed.

All Anode voltage is swept to 5 V. This is the external voltage, and the internal voltage of Anode2 and Anode3 can be lower than the external value because of series resistance. To estimate the cross-talk, Langevin recombination rates integrated in each EML are probed. Because high resistances stop current from Anode2 and Anode3, the Langevin recombination rates in Anode2 and Anode3 show the current from Anode1 to Cathode through EML2 and EML2.

Finaly, the Langevin recombination rates and Anode internal voltages are plotted
