Silvaco downloads: software, PDKs and manuals

See what sits inside the Silvaco download portal, and what it takes to get an account.

What's behind the portal login

Silvaco downloads come through the support portal, installers and
PDKs included, and each one opens only once you’re signed in.

Software and releases

My Personal Downloads lists the Silvaco software your license covers. If a release isn’t listed, request it through Software Request. Latest Release tracks what’s current, tool by tool.

Documentation and manuals

User Manuals carries the manual set for every tool, with White Papers and past Simulation Standard issues beside it. Application notes, presentations and published papers are open to anyone in the Technical Library.

Yield and integrity

Foundry-specific and free demo PDKs download from separate portal routes. Whether your foundry and process are covered is public: the Process Design Kits page shows it, no account needed.

Models

Verilog-A SPICE Models get a portal route of their own, under the same login as your software.

Training material

Demonstrations and Training material round out the portal. Recorded webinars aren’t in it. They’re in the webinar archive.

Who can get an account

Who qualifies

Your email address decides it. Company, university, government and related-agency addresses qualify; free email services don’t.

If you’re evaluating Silvaco tools, the evaluation runs under Silvaco’s Evaluation License Agreement and a mutual NDA, both on the Evaluation Kit Information page.

An account doesn’t include a license. New licenses come through your regional Silvaco office, and so does Silos now that it’s no longer licensed online.

How to register

One form asks for your name, a work email, your company and job title, and your country. Your password follows by email.

What your maintenance contract adds

Keep your maintenance contract current and the portal becomes your line to Silvaco support. File a bug or a technical question, then follow the ticket, add notes or close it. Share your tickets with teammates, and nobody files the same bug twice.

Issue tracking opens once you request it inside the portal. Have your license server’s CodeName ready, because the request asks for it.

Licensing sets out the license models. Installation and OS Support takes you through SFLM or FlexLM license server setup.

Silvaco download questions

What software can I download from Silvaco?

The tools on your license download from the support portal, along with any release you request there. One account also opens user manuals, Verilog-A SPICE models, foundry-specific and demo PDKs, white papers, earlier Simulation Standard issues, and demonstration and training material. Release notes and installation guides need no login, and neither does the Technical Library.

Yes: installers, PDKs, models and manuals all sit behind the support portal's sign-in. Getting that account takes a single form, as long as you register with a work or university email. If you're evaluating, you'll also sign an Evaluation License Agreement with Silvaco, and your regional Silvaco office confirms how the software reaches you.

Sign up through the portal's own form, giving your name, company, job title, country and email. Silvaco sends your password to that address. It has to be a company, university, government or related-agency address, since the form refuses free email services.

Yes, after you sign in to the support portal, which splits them into Foundry-Specific PDKs and Free Demo PDKs. Coverage is public, though. The Process Design Kits page lists a sample of supported processes with no login, ams AG, Tower Semiconductor and X-FAB among its foundries.

Inside the support portal, in the User Manuals route, so reading them means signing in. Papers, presentations and application notes are the exception: the Technical Library carries them openly. Each tool on the Latest Release page also links its release notes, no sign-in required.

On a Time-Based License, product updates and technical support are part of the lease fee, and a Victory Omni License includes software maintenance. Filing bugs and support requests through the portal does take an up-to-date maintenance contract. If your contract has lapsed, your regional Silvaco office can tell you what it still covers.
