Inaugural China SIPware Design-IP Symposium Exceeds Goal by 70%

The inaugural Silvaco China IP Symposium was held at the Parkyard Hotel in Shanghai on March 26, 2019. Excellent attendance of 85 was seen from the 128 names registered for the conference that represented over 65 microelectronics companies and institutions. Silvaco’s attendance goal was exceeded by 70%.

Jai Durgam Vice President, General Manager, IP Business Unit gave the keynote address. He discussed how the AI/ML, IoT and Automotive market segments have propelled the growing need for standards-based semiconductor design IP. He identified various market trends and requirements, and gave an overview of how Silvaco SIPWare is addressing these demands.

Other Symposium presentations covered topics include specific design challenges and IP solutions for a wide variety of applications and markets in AI, automotive, IoT, and cloud computing; the need for Xena Design IP management technology; and how to address evolving power/performance/area (PPA) needs and process node developments, with custom-tailored digital cell libraries.
