Bi-axial Deformation with Victory Mesh for Flexible Electronic Applications
1. Introduction
For high performance large area flexible electronics, amorphous metal oxide semiconductor based thin film transistors offer many advantages. These include high mobility, steep sub-threshold and ultralow leakage current, with low cost and large area manufacturability.
For these and other reasons, such as low temperature processing, amorphous metal oxides thin film transistors are being used to drive commercial high-resolution low-power LCD display panels and large size OLED panels.
Many flexible electronic applications produce some form of substrate deformation. This can be simple cylindrical curvature such as printing on fibres for wearable products and/or more complex “wrinkle” effect when using stretchable substrates.
This article, illustrates a new feature implemented in Victory Mesh that allows complex bi-axial deformation of planar structures.
