Important Notice: OS Platform Support Changes 

NOTE: This notice affects only customers using Linux (CentOS Linux, RedHat Enterprise Linux, RockyLinux, SUSE) operating systems. If this does not apply to you, please disregard. 

Dear Customer: 

At Silvaco we believe that our customers need access to stable, well-supported operating systems on which to run their TCAD & EDA tools.  

As we strive to align our support for our OS platforms with the various OS vendors, we continually update the OS support for our latest Software releases, see: https://silvaco.com/latest-software-release/ 

Starting with Q3 2025 all software release: 

• CentOS Linux support will be dropped. 

• For RedHat Enterprise Linux the minimum supported OS will be 8.4.  

• RHEL 7.x, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 will no longer be supported. 

• RockyLinux 8.4 will be added as a supported platform. 

For products that support SUSE platforms such as Jivaro, PEX Certify, and Viso, starting 2025 for all software releases: 

• SUSE 12 support will be dropped 

• SUSE 15sp7 will be added
