Ricoh Electronic Devices Offers Silvaco PDK Support for 0.35um Process

Yokohama , Japan – March 15, 2016 – Ricoh Electronic Devices Co., Ltd. (Ricoh) and Silvaco Japan Co., Ltd. (Silvaco) have announced the availability of a 0.35 um process PDK (process design kit) that supports Silvaco’s analog design tool flow for the LSI Shuttle Service being developed by Ricoh, a manufacturer of high precision, low power consumption analog LSIs. The PDK for the widely used 0.35um process was developed through the technical collaboration between Ricoh and Silvaco. In addition, there are plans to support PDKs for processes with higher voltage options which are used for a large number of power supply ICs.

Silvaco’s General Manager Yoshiharu Furui stated, “We are pleased with the release of a Silvaco PDK by Ricoh, with whom we have enjoyed a long partnership. Silvaco offers an analog design tool flow that will help maximize the use of Ricoh’s analog LSI technology, which features low power consumption and high precision. We are confident that the Silvaco PDK will contribute to shortening the time and streamlining the design process for customers using Ricoh’s process.”

Keiichi Yoshioka, General Manager of the Design Technology Department of Ricoh, stated, “By providing a PDK for Silvaco’s powerful and easy to use analog design tools, Ricoh will be able to expand its customer base. We look forward to building this win-win partnership, as we expand Ricoh’s various design and manufacturing services, including our LSI Shuttle Service.
