Webinars
Dr. Yuhao Zhang
Learn about the design of wide bandgap (WBG) and ultra-WBG power devices. See how design teams are using Silvaco TCAD 3D simulation for:
- Design of GaN FinFET and tri-gate power device
- Fabrication process simulation
- Self-consistent electrothermal simulation for power performance evaluation
- Device-circuit mixed-mode simulation for studying the device dynamics in power circuits
- Mixed-mode simulation for understanding device reliability and ruggedness
Dr. Wolfgang Goes
The concept of resistive switching has attracted increasing industrial interest. ReRAM technologies, such as OXRAM and CBRAM, have emerged as promising candidates due to their low power consumption, high endurance, and fast switching times. To improve the understanding of these devices, TCAD simulations can be used to study the chemical processes behind the resistive switching. We will present a comprehensive and flexible ReRAM model, based on the Chemistry Module in Silvaco’s Victory Device simulator.
Dr. David Green
This webinar provides an overview of Silvaco’s TCAD tools. It introduces Silvaco’s process and device simulation capabilities for wide bandgap materials. In addition, various practical examples are demonstrated and discussed, such as SiC JBS diodes and GaN FETs.
Dr. Philippe Blaise
This webinar will introduce the simulation capabilities of Victory Atomistic (VA) as part of the Silvaco TCAD suite of tools. VA is a multipurpose nanodevice simulation tool based on the NEMO5 software created at Purdue University.
Alexander Toifl
In this webinar, a workflow that combines process and device TCAD to support the design of GaN-based LEDs is presented. The workflow integrates three-dimensional process simulation capabilities (Silvaco Victory Process), physical models for wet etching of sapphire, and light extraction ray-tracing calculations (Silvaco Victory Device). Thus, the impact of process parameters on LED performance is quantified.
Dr. Vito Simonka
In this webinar we will demonstrate how to set models for simulations, modify material and modeling properties, and calibrate simulations for various processes.
Dr. Derek Kimpton
This webinar illustrates the advantages of using a single command file and a GDSII layout to create an entire Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) experiment set, using physics-based 3D active devices and Back End Of Line (BEOL) interconnect cell level structures, for extraction of the active device Spice model parameters and extracted RC parasitics using a 3D field solver, and for final Spice circuit simulation.
